BGL Acquires GolfPlex To Strengthen And Expand Its Golf Division

Burhill Golf and Leisure Limited, part of Burhill Group Limited (BGL), has acquired Golf Entertainments Holdings Limited, trading as GolfPlex, adding the innovative Bracknell venue to its growing portfolio.

Located in Bracknell, Berkshire, GolfPlex is a modern, entertainment-led golf venue offering a broad range of experiences designed to appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike. Facilities include a state-of-the-art driving range, adventure golf, sports simulators, foot golf, and a wide variety of activities focused on making golf more fun, accessible, and engaging.

The acquisition marks an important step in BGL’s uplifted strategy under new CEO, Simon Thompson, to broaden and strengthen its golf and leisure offering, while supporting its ambition to grow the game through high-quality, innovative experiences. The announcement follows a record year for BGL Golf in 2025, reflecting sustained investment in its venues, people, and customer experience across the group.

GolfPlex will sit within the BGL Golf Division, working closely alongside BGL’s existing venues and teams to ensure strong alignment, shared expertise, and opportunities for collaboration across the group.
