Club Car Vice President Marco Natale Speaks At World Economic Forum

Club Car Vice President EMEA Marco Natale recently shared his vision for urban mobility during a roundtable discussion at the prestigious World Economic Forum in Davos. Natale was among fellow global automotive leaders invited to take part in the roundtable, titled ‘Reimagining Urban Mobility: trends, innovations and opportunities: 2030 and beyond’, alongside organisations such as BMW, Hyundai and Volvo. Club Car was the sole representative from the micro-mobility sector.
The session was organised by Hero Motors Company in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industries to discuss urban mobility trends, innovations and opportunities in India.
“It was fascinating to take part in the discussion and hear the perspectives, insights and challenges of some exceptional leaders in technology, academia, service providers, distributors and investors,” said Natale. “For Club Car to be present at this session reaffirms its position as a leader in urban planning innovations and a pioneer for solutions that address the challenges of sustainable and efficient urban transport.”
Club Car was founded in 1958 as a manufacturer of golf carts, and now has a wide-ranging product portfolio for commercial and consumer markets, all built with an uncompromised desire for superior performance. In 2022, Club Car launched URBAN, a range of innovative road-legal electric utility vehicles that are versatile, ergonomic and safer than any of its competitors thanks to stringent crash testing.
Natale continued: “Urbanisation has rapidly accelerated over the past two centuries, transforming the way humans live and work. Today, over 50 per cent of the global population lives in urban areas, and this figure is projected to rise to 75 per cent by 2050.
“The fast growth of urban centres brings both immense opportunities and significant challenges and mobility is one of them. There will be significant changes involving shared mobility services, electric vehicles, infrastructures, autonomous driving technologies and specific tasks vehicles. All of this will reshape entire urban transportation systems.”
